Meet Sarah Anderson

Sarah W. Anderson is Of Counsel with Alexander Sides, joining the firm in January 2020. Prior to joining Alexander Sides, Sarah was in-house counsel and contracts manager with the Cyber Innovation Center (a technology innovation non-profit) and a former partner with a multi-state law firm, representing several fortune 500 companies in toxic tort litigation and property disputes.
Sarah is also a Major in the Louisiana Army National Guard (“Guard”), serving as a Cyber Law Judge Advocate, Executive staff member for ESF-17, and the legal liaison for the Louisiana Cybersecurity Commission. Sarah’s duties with the Guard require her to stay current on laws and regulations concerning data security, privacy, technological innovation, and cyber incident response.

Licensed to practice law in both Louisiana and Texas.
Licensed Title Agent in Louisiana.
She holds a GIAC Law of Data Security & Investigations (GLEG) certification.
She has spoken on cybersecurity legal issues for both non-profit and for-profit entities, including the National Governor's Association, Baker Donelson law firm, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, and in conference with the Institute for Defense Analysis.
10 years of public speaking experience at local and national conventions.
Sarah graduated cum laude with her J.D. from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in May 2009 and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia Honor’s College in 2006 with a B.A. and as a Distinguished Military Graduate.
Sarah graduated the Judge Advocate Officer’s Advanced Course at the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School on the Commandant’s List.
She completed Harvard Law School’s Negotiation Intensive, part of its Program on Negotiations in 2017.
